5th Oct - Mancora Day 2

Next couple of days were very relaxing. All kind of blend in really.



The hellish conditions at Loki Mancora!

Played a lot of table tennis over the days, sat in the hammocks a lot reading, the lads spoke a lot about AFL and the AFL draft and AFL trade week etc etc. I actually quite enjoyed it, like the passion they had for it. We also discussed the new coach of Rob's team Essendon. His name's James Hird and he's been handed the job with no coaching experience whatsoever. Rob's all for it, 2 lads think it's lunacy. Either way it has been discussed again and again and again over the last couple of weeks!



After breakfast and a bit of reading, I went to have a look at the town of Mancora with Rich and Rob. It wasn't up to much but we pottered and got back too late for the table tennis tournament - decided to have a cocktail instead. Had a piña colada and it was disgusting. Sadly I was making acquaintance with porcelain for the next couple of days after it. Punishment.

Went back to the room for a while and completely forgot about sunset. Ah shite! Thought of it slightly too late, but still went for a romantic walk down the beach with Matt and Rich. Rob just wasn't feeling the man love. His loss. Richie did have an amusing rant about people who go horseback riding on the beach at sunset. Thinks it's crazy. It should be romantic but simply isn't! He vowed that he'll never partake in that charade. Ok then.

We wanted to book a fishing trip and tried again tonight but apparently the waves are too choppy at the moment. Shame. Went for dinner at an excellent but pricey pizzeria, couple of games of pool and that was it for the night.

Rich and Matt stayed out all right and apparently a load of them stayed up on a random balcony drinking and smoking keeping the room awake until a Dutch girl got out of bed and screamed at them all in English about what ignorant fukkers they all were and to fukk off to bed etc. Pity I missed that!
